Social Skills Group and Emotional Life Coaching
This group will explore ways to improve social relationships, become a better handler of emotions, and be a more positive, resilient, growing person. By integrating our strengths and challenges, we can build better brains through learning about social development.
The program addresses ways to empower self-image, deal with those unknown feelings, and increase social communication within family and peer relationships through experiential activities and creative play. Experiential activities and creative play are known to enhance learning and an integrated brain.
This Social Skills group is different than any other, in that, we examine the heart of life’s emotional issues that we all face. We present coping mechanisms that best suits the unique needs of the child. We base the curriculum according to the latest research and key developmental milestones from early childhood to adolescence. We highlight the values of ethnic and family culture to support identity and sense of community. Most importantly, we collaborate with families to foster individual growth by learning essential skills so the effects of therapy and change lasts long after the group is over.
